Snowday. By tomorrow morning, I will have gained two pounds! No kidding…
A snowday is fun if you have kids who are thrilled to have a day off. If I’m alone, I’ll clean house, my closet, or play make- up. When my sweetie is home, we like to spend the day hanging out together. Sometimes we both move snow, sometimes, just him. But what we really do is watch two TV’s at once, read and snack!
So far today, we have consumed: coffee, tea, fried eggs and toast, bananas, animal cookies, peanuts, the last two chocolate chip cookies, crackers and peanut butter, crackers and cheese, and more peanuts…it’s only 2 PM! I am, at the moment, roasting green beans and some chicken wings, while watching a cooking show and he is watching the weather.
Ever notice how spending comfortable, happy time together goes hand in hand with snacking? Kind of like ham and eggs, peanut butter and jelly, and ice cream and cake? (Yes, there seems to be a food theme.) If we ever retire, we will turn into two butterballs.
Excuse me , while I go bake some butter cookies for my sweetie.
Have a toasty, happy day. xoxo, Brenda
