Figuring it out starts in your closet.

Brenda’s closet.  Day 112.  Almost every morning, my dressing is, to some extent, trial and error.  I know what I want to wear, but it’s the technicalities that slow me down. (I should really figure it out the night before.)  And I hate coming home at night and being surprised by the little pyramid of the morning rejects…

It seems that no matter how much editing I do, I still have too many choices when it comes to the basics.  Black tunics (12), black pants (12),white blouses (12) .  Oh my gosh! I didn’t realize I have a sickness–fear of never finding those basics again!!!  Too much stuff makes it confusing, especially if your color selection is as limited as mine.  Black pants are black pants, except when it comes to length—it’s all in the details.  Aarrrgh….

The length of the pant is directly related to the height of the shoe and the length of the top—oh no—this is starting to sound like algebra!  I have started down a path  here that surprises me–perhaps another revelation?  Let’s see—there may be a formula here.

The longer the pant=the higher the shoe=the longer the top=add a short jacket, except that skinny pants and a high heel work too, blah, blah, blah…

“I before “e”, except after “c”, or when followed by “a”…?  This is too much for my brain.  I’m going to go try on all my stuff and eliminate anything that seems to be a fall- back piece—why have a fall-back –they should all be right, or they’re just making it confusing. I think this is a good place to start.  I’m sorry if this went nowhere.  Over-thinking is not good.  Just get rid of anything that you don’t love or feel good in, and we’ll look at this again someday with pictures and a white board!

Love you guys, Bren
